Easy Christmas cards with Violet Studio Nutcracker Banner Kit

November 1, 2022

Hi Crafty Friends! Welcome back to the blog for another crafty project. Now that November is here, I feel like it is officially time to start sharing some fun holiday projects. Today I have three very easy, beginner friendly card projects to share with you. I would also like to thank scrapbook.com for sending me these cute items from Violet Studio to test out.

Violet Studio – tis the season to be jolly card

Of the three cards that I made, the most difficult one that I made is this first one with the dancing sugar plum fairy on it. And honestly, it’s still very simple. The only challenging bit for this one is I did include some fun gold heat embossing. To make this card, I started with an A2 size card base. I then trimmed down a piece of navy paper (that is actually from a 6×6 card) in this Nutcracker Collection Christmas Card making kit. I trimmed the paper down to about 3.75×5 inches to leave a nice 1/4 inch border around the front. I heat embossed the sentiment and some trios of dots from the home for the Christmas Collection card making and stamping bundle. All that was left to do is add on the image from this Christmas Banner kit. I was really impressed with this banner kit. I plan on hanging the “Merry Christmas” up in my craft space, but using all the images on cards as they fill a card front perfectly.

This second card came together very quickly as instead of doing any stamping or heat embossing, I used a sentiment from the Nutcracker card making kit. I once again trimmed out a navy panel from one of the cards in the kit. All that was left to do is add this beautiful tree from the Nutcracker Collection Banner kit with some foam tape for some fun dimension.

This last card definitely came together the quickest. Rather than use one of the premade cards in the kit as intended, I trimmed off the back of a card base and adhered it to a 6×6 card base to make a solid navy card. I then just added on these adorable nutcrackers from the Nutcracker Collection Banner Kit and the sentiment from the card kit with some foam tape,.. and voila this card was done!

Thank you so very much to scrapbook.com for providing me the Violet Studio items used in these projects. I had a blast playing with the kits. I love that these kits can be used on their own with very little basic supplies needed or that you can get creative with them if you would like! I was also impressed with their reasonable price points… perfect for those that would like to dabble in card making for the holidays!
